Anti Bark Collars

I am sure that many of you have seen these anti bark collars on television. They stop your dog, or even your neighbor's dog from excessive barking. To many of you who have a dog who barks excessively this may sound like a good idea, but I beg you to reconsider. These collars actually shock your dog when they bark or make a horrible sound that is hard on the dog's ears. The animal lives in fear that they will be shocked all day and eventually becomes very depressed and loses hope. And what if your dog is barking because of an intruder? I bet you wouldn't love your anti bark collar so much then. One review of these devices said that her father put it on and it shocked him and he fainted. How would you feel if everytime you laughed, you were shocked? It would make you a very depressing, weak person wouldn't it?
