Virtual Haircut
This is called the stereo effect. If you close your eyes as you listen, it sounds like getting your hair cut at the barbers. As the barber “moves” to your right, the volume slightly increases in the right channel and decreases in the left. The sound of the clipper also increases and decreases to give the illusion of a clipper being brought close. The illusion demonstrates our ability to locate sounds in space by comparing the inputs to the two ears. Which is how we determine how we determine where sound is. (Title links to a youtube video)
