Visual Angle
The text, Sensation and Perception, states that Visual Angle is the angle of an object relative to the viewers eye. The visual angle can be seen by measuring the distance of the whole object from the viewers lens. Once this is completed we may then concur how large the object will appear on the back of the viewers eye. The most interesting aspect of this technique is optical illusions that can be produced from visual angle. Pictures can be taken of certain scenes to make things that look real, but really are not real. For example here are a few awesome picture scenes of visual angle-

I enjoy people who take pictures like this it takes creativity and precision to get the pictures to look real. These are the best optical illusions pictures I have ever seen!
ReplyDeleteI thought that the part in the book on visual angle was interesting. I have used this technique for photography and it is very fun! It's interesting how your eyes can see things that aren't what they seem.
ReplyDeleteI thought reading about the visual angle in the book was pretty interesting. I find optical illusions to be so neat and agree that it takes a lot of creativity to make these pictures look realistic to the human eye.
ReplyDeleteI love pictures like these. I'm actually studying abroad next semester so I hope to take a couple of these myself!! Visual angle can make things look so different, some in a good angles and some even in bad angles.
