I read an article on Dementia and visual stimulation. It explained how visions our most important sense, and how we gain information from what we perceive and see. Visual stimulation for Alzheimer's patients can involve many things such as light, color, shape, or motion, as well as all of them combined. These things are influential in our vision becuase it can help people remember certain memories, or stimulate thoughts. It was proven that Alzheimer patients could reminisce on a memory just by having heir vision stimulated by certain colors, shapes. I also learned that a basic form of visual stimulation is bright light therapy. Bright light therapy can help people with Alzheimer's trigger memories in which they had forgotten. It is said it can also be effective for sleep and mood enhancement. Below are few pictures that are said to help people stimulate vision.
