Prosopagnosia is also known as face blindness and occurs
when the brain is injured. Some examples causing Prosopagnosia are head trauma,
stroke, and diseases. The face blind test can be used to test memory, recognition,
and face processing (features). Out of
30 faces, I only knew 19 of them. I learned
I am not good at face recognition because I honestly thought I would have known
more of the faces. After I saw the name
that responded to the face, I knew who the person was but had no idea there
face matched. All of the faces were
faces I’ve seen before, but I had a hard time identifying their actual
name. For some faces, I remember movies
they participated in, but not their names. Before I took the test, I thought
the faces shown would have been more than their actual face. After taking the test, I think hair and other
features (distinctive characteristics) would have made the test easier because pairing
the face to a specific feature allows us to remember a person.
