Women, The Death of Me
New studies have found that on a biological level arguments
better martial partners have a more damaging effect on men then on women. This
new study states that when men and women argue with one another the brain
releases a cocktail of stress hormones called cytokines which are released by
the immune system. High levels of these hormones are linked and known to cause
serious medical conditions like cardiovascular disease, type-2 diabetes,
arthritis and some cancers. The most interesting part about this study is
that depending on how rational or emotional a argument is determines your body's
effectiveness of getting rid of these cytokines. The thing is...men show a
increased long term storage of these hormones and for some reason which has not
been discovered yet, women do not. So the question lies, are women better at
communicating or just luckier in the biological lottery?
