Stuttering (Blog #2)

Stuttering is a speech disorder in which sounds, syllabus and words are repeated. There are involuntary pauses and blocks within the speech. Stuttering is categorized as a developmental disorder as well. It begins in early childhood and sometimes continues into adulthood, stuttering causes social and communication issues.

Ex. W-W-W-What are you doing?

As of right now doctors do not know what causes this. For treatment there are behavioral programs readily available to improve oral communication and stuttering therapy.

  1. I never realized all the famous people that had this problem. Hopefully one day they will know what the cause of this is, but thankfully there are some treatments to help the people who suffer from this.
