This is the instrument that I choose during class to write about. It is a small piece of wood that houses four removable metal pieces. They appear to be bronze with a rather sharp pointed tip and hollow inside. There is rubber around which may serve as a grip for the user. The rubber could also be protection from electricity if this is used for shock therapy or testing for touch or pain thresholds. They were not heavy nor light in weight. I'm not exactly sure what these things would be used for, but they seem painful.
