We would probably all guess that the bat has the best hearing. They do, but only out of all mammals. Surprisingly, the greater wax moth or the common moth has the most extreme hearing sense of all animals. It can hear sound frequencies of up to 300 kHz, while humans can hear up to 20 kHz at best. They use their hearing senses to outwit their number one predator; the bat. This moth has evolved to understand the bat's echolocation strategy. Other prey never know when a bat is coming for them. This moth can also communicate with other moths in the area using frequencies even a bat cannot hear.
