For my
final site post, I decided to talk about the Christmas season. As Christmas
gets closer people are starting to put up their Christmas lights. I love going
to see all the houses that put up lights that dance with the music. It looks so
trippy and constantly has my eyes moving all over the place. Bright lights always
appear to be moving due to Gestalt’s law. The Gestalt law says that that our minds fill in missing pieces and information that is not always there. The law states that the whole is greater than the sum of its parts which led to the discovery of several different phenomena that occur during perception.
