Today in class we briefly discussed different languages and how they relate to speech perception. My friend and I thought of a scene from the office. It was one where Kevin spoke with minimal effort, using only words he felt were necessary. This is a satirical way to look at how people will alter their speech in order to have those speaking other languages understand them. This can be related to "mother's ease" where a parent will speak in a way they feel a baby will learn and understand.
