Post 2: Hearing and Vision

I am pretty much useless without my glasses or contacts because all I see are shapes and colors but I can't see detail. For example, I can see the shape of someone's face and their eyes but they all kind of mesh into one another. My sister is the same way but we both agree that if we don't have our glasses I can't hear as clearly. In class and in the book, we went over the connection between hearing and vision. When you are having a conversation with someone, you aren't just listening, you are looking at their lips, facial expression, eyes, etc. Watching people's lips makes it easier for people to know what you are saying and what sounds are being made. This is also connects to how deaf people communicate, by using speechreading or lipreading.
