Perceiving is one of the greatest qualities we have as humans. Perception is indirect, however it seems so natural to us that many of us take it for granted. One of the most amazing things found with perception is that we can look at pictures that shows a situation involving motion and we can imaging the movements that will follow the situation depicted in the pictures. This kind of situation is acquire by implied motion.
Implied motion is one example of how meaning and our past experiences can influence perception and brain activity. Furthermore, the idea that the motion illustrated in a picture tends to continue in the mind of the observer is called representational momentum.
I like looking at pictures that implies movement and imagining the movements that follow illustrated in the situation in the picture.
